Synocus orchestrating Nordic Superblocks

The Nordic Superblocks as Decarbonization Catalysts (NSDC) is a new Business Finland-supported initiative, led by Skanska and supported by a consortium of leading-edge expertise from KONE, Tietoevry, Granlund, Integrio, Synocus, and Research partner Tampere University. Synoucs serves as the orchestrator of the project with funding through NextGenerationEU through 2025.

The NSDC initiative supports Finland’s aim to be a forerunner in decarbonization. The aim of NSDC is to simplify and accelerate planning, permit, and appeal processes to enable the transition towards zero-emission buildings and carbon-neutral living in cities. NSDC supports sustainable urban planning and development as well as building life-cycle management through breakthrough research and proof of concept pilots.
