Synocus participates in the WALCC Autumn Forum on cities leading innovation

From September 30th to October 1st, 2019, Synocus and the World Alliance for Low Carbon Cities (WALCC) hosted the 17th WALCC Forum at the Hanaholmen Culture Center in Espoo. At the Forum a new report on urban innovation was also published. You can find the report here.

The opening addresses for the Forum were presented by State Secretary of Finance Mr. Kimmo Tiilikainen, the Chinese Ambassador Mr. Chen Li, Alliance Chairman Mr. Pasi Mikkonen of Fortum, and Alliance co-founder and Honorary Chairman Prof. Kang Feiyu. Following the two-day Forum, the site visits covered Fortum’s combined heat and power plant in Suomenoja, St1’s geothermal heat site in Otaniemi, and Aalto University where the participants could familiarize themselves with the university and the Circular Ecosystem of Battery Metals (BATCircle).

Synocus is actively supporting the preparations of the upcoming WALCC Forums in China in Spring 2020 and in Stockholm in Autumn 2020. The Alliance now encourages and welcomes all members of its extended network, as well as those interested in becoming involved in its operations, to get in touch and propose topics to be brought up in next year’s Forums.
